Au cours de la rencontre participative « L’œuvre d’art comme manuel de transformation sociale – De la collaboration à l’interdépendance », la curatrice et “art educator” Alessandra Saviotti (IT/NL) présentera son travail et ses recherches entremêlant les pratiques artistiques socialement engagées, l’Arte Útil, l’éducation artistique, l’activisme culturel et la course à pied. Elle explicitera sa pratique de “collaboration sans fin” et explorera, conjointement avec les participant.es, des notions telles que l’interdépendance, la solidarité et la coopération, ainsi que l’idée de l’œuvre d’art comme manuel de transformation sociale.

ACROSS GUEST #38 (janvier-février 2023) I Alessandra Saviotti est commissaire d’exposition et “éducatrice artistique”. Chercheuse en doctorat à la Liverpool John Moores University, elle est conseillère pour les programmes de résidence Unidee et Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto. Ses recherches portent sur l’art dit socialement engagé (socially engaged art), les pratiques collaboratives et l’Arte Útil (l’art comme outil). Depuis 2014, elle est membre de l’Asociación de Arte Útil fondée par Tania Bruguera, visant à émanciper les usages autour de l’archive Arte Útil.

In her participative presentation « Artwork as a manual for social transformation – From Collaboration to Interdependence », curator and art educator Alessandra Saviotti (IT/NL) will introduce her practice across socially engaged art practices, Arte Útil, art education, cultural activism and running. She will talk about how she developed a practice of ‘endless collaboration’ and will explore, together with the participants, notions such as interdependence, solidarity and cooperation and the idea of the artwork as a manual for social transformation.

She is a PhD researcher at the Liverpool John Moores University and is an advisor for Unidee Residency Programmes and Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto. She focuses on socially engaged art, collaborative practices, and Arte Útil (art as a tool). Since 2014 she has been a member of the Asociación de Arte Útil founded by Tania Bruguera, aiming to emancipate usership around the Arte Útil Archive.
